Prize Draws frequently asked questions
Q: Who decides on who gets the excellent rewards?
A: As long as tenants have met the conditions of the prize draw then they all are entered, winners are then chosen at random.
Q: How will you choose the winners of the excellent rewards prize draw?
A: The computer will generate a list in random order of people who have been tenants 12 months or more and have a clear rent account, have given KHT access to carry out a gas service, have not been anti social and who have not broken the rules of their tenancy.
Q: How is the room makeover going to work?
A: The lucky tenants will be contacted and then members of the Advantage team will meet the tenant with members of the maintenance team and plan the makeover. Our maintenance team will then deliver it. This is one part of the scheme that we need to pilot to see how it works out!
Advantage Discount Card frequently asked questions
Q: How do we know how to use our discount cards?
A: There is a full explanation in the Advantage brochure and Advantage Discount Savings Guide. It can be used in various ways depending on the shop you want to make a purchase from. In some shops you can simply show your Discount Card before the till is rung up! For others you need to phone for vouchers or book online. The website www.countdown.com also gives more information.
Q: Will Advantage be signing up more shops to the Discount Card?
A: Countdown who manages the card are constantly signing up new chain stores nationally. In terms of local shops Advantage will seek tenants and staff feedback as to what shops they want to see signed up locally.
Q: Can we get replacements cards?
A: Only in exceptional circumstances as we have very limited spare cards and Discount card Savings Guides.
Q: What happens with the card if I leave a KHT property?
A: The card must be destroyed and handed back with your keys.
Q: How can I find out where I can use my Discount card?
A: Refer to your Discount Card Savings Guide. Once you have received this guide and your card you can register your card at Countdown’s website and you can browse the local and national shops online. Furthermore, you can sign up to monthly emails which will notify you of special offers.
Q: Will local shops have posters in so you know you can use your card there?
A: There should be Countdown/Advantage stickers on shop windows who participate in the scheme.
Q: What national shops can I use my Discount Card in?
A: There is a variety of national shops ranging from Asda through to New Look and Moss Bros. Go online to find out more www.countdowncard.com
Q: The discount card seems complicated- do we need to phone Asda for a gift card?
A: Yes you need to phone the telephone number in your savings guide to get an Asda Gift card and then phone to top it up. It’s easy really and you will get 4% extra on whatever you spend…so if you spent £50 a week in Asda you would get an extra £104 pounds to spend.

A: Yes but it will not be free, you will have to pay their rate

Q: Are KHT helping the Credit Unions?
A: Yes, as part of Advantage we will pay the £2 joining fee if a KHT tenant opens a Knowsley Credit Union account before 30th September this year. We also support Enterprise and Kirkby Credit Union financially.
